Over 300 guests were assembled at The Landmark London Hotel, eagerly waiting for the winners of the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2019 to be announced.

 

The Awards, now in their fourteenth year and regarded as the Oscars of the finance world, recognise the best wealth managers and advisors in the private wealth industry, in particular those who invest money with charities, private families and foundations.
 

Former rugby union player Will Greenwood MBE hosted the evening and over £5,000 were raised for the charity Together for Short Lives that supports seriously ill children and their families.

More than two hundred companies and individuals have competed over the year.

Starting back in July 2018, organisations in the wealth management industry were invited to submit their entries to highlight developments from the past year.

 

In October 2018 six industry judges met at a highly vocal lunch to share their views on the submissions and draw up the final shortlist. The contest, which is run across a year, also included a period of online voting with more than 11,000 ‘public’ votes to gather popular opinion from charities, peers and private clients. The popular opinion results are then shared with the judges before final voting takes place.
