Citywealth Powerwomen Awards 2019
The Citywealth Powerwomen Awards 2019 took place on 21st February at the five-star Rosewood Hotel, in the City of London. Now in its sixth year, the event celebrates individuals and companies that support female leadership and diversity within the wealth management sector. The host of the evening was David Flatman, a former rugby union player turned pundit.
Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards were announced with two further awards, The Editor’s Choice Award and The Outstanding Individual of the Year Award chosen by the Editor, Karen Jones. Winners had been selected from a shortlist of over one hundred candidates drawn up from submissions and industry recommendations, which were presided by eight judges all prominent figures from the wealth industry. Additional online voting was verified by an independent third party.
Karen Jones, Editor and CEO of Citywealth, said of the winners:
“Citywealth is delighted to have highlighted female excellence in our Powerwomen finalists who will prove to be role models for women joining or returning into the financial services industry. It is a pleasure to support their work and continued career success with these accolades. Congratulations to all the women who have been recognised in the Powerwomen Awards 2019.”
The evening raised almost £3,000 in support of the children’s charity CHICKS, that provides free respite breaks to disadvantaged children.
